Transcription Positions

We have openings in our transcription department for high quality corporate and legal transcriptionists, doing audio files for Social Security, Veterans Affairs, Immigration, as well as legal and corporate clients. We do not do any medical transcription.

There are no research or data entry positions open at this time.

These positions are Independent Contractor (IC) positions. You are not an employee for our company, but rather, work for yourself, providing us with your services.

We do not withhold taxes for independent contractors. Similarly, as an IC, you are not eligible for unemployment benefits or Workmen’s Compensation Insurance. 

We cannot provide any technical assistance, training, software, or other support.


For corporate and financial, we pay by the audio minute, ranging from .40/audio min to 1.25/audio min.

For general legal, we pay by the page, ranging from .75/page to 1.75/page.

Rates of pay depend on the job, turnaround time, and the quality of your work. The upper range of the scale will be given to those with 99% accuracy consistently.


A major perk of this work is its flexibility. As an independent contractor, you accept jobs when you want to. However, this is what you can expect in terms of work availability:

Most work comes in during the day Monday thru Friday. Most corporate work requires same-day turnaorund. Legal generally has a 2-5 day turnaround. On occasion, we have corporate accounts that require evening work, with the work coming in by 5pm Central Time and being due early morning.

Pay per audio minutes is determined by how many minutes of audio you transcribe.  Pay per page is determined on how many finished pages you have transcribed. Pay is NOT based on how long it takes you to complete the work.

We transcribe earnings calls with a fast turnaround four times a year. This period can be intense, but there can be a lot of work available.
